Ajudan Parpol Larang Wartawan Mendekat, Picu Sorotan Soal Kebebasan Pers

sabakuningannews.com. KUNINGAN.Sikap seorang ajudan dari salah satu partai politik menjadi sorotan setelah diduga melarang wartawan mendekati pejabat partai dalam sebuah kegiatan. Peristiwa tersebut memicu reaksi dari kalangan jurnalis yang menilai tindakan itu tidak menghormati kebebasan pers.
Insiden itu terjadi saat awak media sudah berbincang dengan petinggi parpol , Namun sesudah berbincang wartawan mendekat ajudan, Ajudan langsung menegur wartawan seolah wartawan tidak boleh langsung mendekati petinggi parpol
Padahal wartawannya tersebut berbincang terkait informasi perkembangan mbg bukan untuk meminta ampau, jelas wartawan
Beberapa wartawan yang berada di lokasi menyayangkan sikap tersebut. Menurut mereka, tugas jurnalis adalah meliput dan menyampaikan informasi kepada publik Bahakan kepada petinggi parpol
Sebagaimana diketahui, kebebasan pers di Indonesia dijamin oleh Undang-Undang Nomor 40 Tahun 1999 tentang Pers. Dalam aturan tersebut disebutkan bahwa pers nasional memiliki hak untuk mencari, memperoleh, dan menyebarluaskan informasi kepada masyarakat.
Selain itu, kebebasan pers juga merupakan bagian dari hak demokrasi yang dilindungi oleh konstitusi. Oleh karena itu, berbagai pihak menilai bahwa seluruh elemen, termasuk pihak partai politik maupun aparat pengamanan internal, seharusnya memahami dan menghormati kerja jurnalistik.
Para jurnalis berharap kejadian serupa tidak kembali terulang. Mereka juga mengingatkan bahwa hubungan antara pers dan pejabat publik seharusnya saling mendukung demi keterbukaan informasi kepada masyarakat.
“Pers adalah mitra dalam menyampaikan informasi kepada publik. Jadi seharusnya tidak ada pembatasan selama wartawan bekerja sesuai kode etik jurnalistik,” ungkap salah satu jurnalis.
Peristiwa ini pun menjadi pengingat pentingnya menghormati kebebasan pers sebagai salah satu pilar demokrasi di Indonesia.(Red)
