sabakuningannews.KUNINGAN – Memperingati Hari Disabilitas Internasional yang jatuh pada 3 Desember, BAZNAS Kabupaten Kuningan menunjukkan kepeduliannya dengan ikut berpartisipasi dalam agenda khusus yang digelar di Gedung DPRD Kabupaten Kuningan, Rabu (3/12/2025). Acara tersebut dihadiri para penyandang disabilitas, organisasi masyarakat, tokoh agama, serta unsur pemerintahan.
Kehadiran BAZNAS menjadi sorotan positif karena membawa pesan kuat bahwa penyandang disabilitas memiliki hak yang sama untuk mendapatkan dukungan, akses, serta kesempatan hidup yang lebih baik. Pada kesempatan itu, Ketua BAZNAS Kabupaten Kuningan, Drs.HR Yayan Sofyan .M.M, menegaskan komitmen lembaganya dalam membantu berbagai kebutuhan masyarakat, termasuk kaum disabilitas.
“BAZNAS hadir bukan hanya sebagai lembaga penyalur zakat, tetapi sebagai penggerak kemanusiaan. Penyandang disabilitas adalah bagian penting dari masyarakat kita. Sudah menjadi kewajiban kita bersama untuk memastikan mereka mendapatkan perhatian, dukungan, dan ruang untuk berkembang,” ujar Drs. HR Yayan Sofyan, M.M..dalam sambutannya.
Ia menambahkan bahwa BAZNAS akan terus memperluas program-program pemberdayaan bagi penyandang disabilitas, mulai dari bantuan alat bantu, pendidikan inklusif, pemberdayaan ekonomi, hingga peningkatan kapasitas melalui pelatihan kerja.
Selain itu, dalam momentum Hari Disabilitas Internasional ini, BAZNAS turut menyerahkan sejumlah bantuan simbolis kepada perwakilan penyandang disabilitas sebagai bentuk komitmen nyata. Bantuan tersebut diharapkan mampu meringankan kebutuhan sekaligus memotivasi penerima untuk terus berkarya.
Acara peringatan yang berlangsung hangat dan penuh kepedulian ini menjadi pengingat bahwa keberpihakan kepada penyandang disabilitas harus terus dijaga dan diperkuat. Melalui kolaborasi antara pemerintah daerah, DPRD, lembaga sosial, dan masyarakat, Kabupaten Kuningan diharapkan dapat menjadi wilayah yang inklusif dan ramah bagi semua. ( Heri gondrong )
