sabakuningannews.com.KUNINGAN – Wakil Bupati Kuningan, Hj. Tuti Andriani, SH., M.Kn., resmi membuka Turnamen Tenis Mayday AGN Cup 2026 di Lapangan Tenis Korpri Kabupaten Kuningan, Sabtu (6/6/2026). Pembukaan ditandai dengan prosesi first service sebagai simbol dimulainya kompetisi yang berlangsung hingga Minggu (7/6/2026).
Turnamen yang digelar DPC KSPSI AGN Kabupaten Kuningan ini merupakan bagian dari rangkaian peringatan Hari Buruh Internasional (May Day) dan Hari Bhayangkara. Sebanyak delapan tim ambil bagian dalam kejuaraan yang menggunakan sistem gugur (knockout).
Dalam sambutannya, Wabup Tuti mengapresiasi penyelenggaraan turnamen yang tidak hanya menjadi ajang kompetisi olahraga, tetapi juga sarana mempererat silaturahmi dan membangun semangat kebersamaan di Kabupaten Kuningan.
“Turnamen ini bukan sekadar memperebutkan kemenangan, tetapi menjadi wadah memperkuat persaudaraan, sinergi, dan sportivitas antara pemerintah, pekerja, dunia usaha, serta masyarakat,” ujar Tuti.
Ia menegaskan bahwa olahraga tenis mengajarkan disiplin, kerja keras, konsistensi, dan mental juara yang penting diterapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Wabup juga berharap ajang ini mampu melahirkan atlet-atlet tenis potensial yang dapat mengharumkan nama Kabupaten Kuningan di tingkat regional maupun nasional.
Sementara itu, Ketua Panitia Uton Subehi mengatakan, Turnamen Tenis Mayday AGN Cup 2026 bertujuan meningkatkan prestasi olahraga tenis lapangan sekaligus mempererat hubungan silaturahmi antar atlet dan pecinta tenis.
Menurutnya, olahraga menjadi media efektif untuk membangun komunikasi serta memperkuat persaudaraan antara pekerja, pengusaha, pemerintah, dan masyarakat.
Hadir dalam pembukaan turnamen antara lain Ketua DPRD Kabupaten Kuningan, Ketua KONI Kabupaten Kuningan, Ketua DPD KSPSI Kabupaten Kuningan, Wakapolres Kuningan, perwakilan Kodim 0615/Kuningan, jajaran PELTI, peserta turnamen, dan tamu undangan lainnya.
Melalui Turnamen Tenis Mayday AGN Cup 2026, Pemerintah Kabupaten Kuningan berharap lahir bibit-bibit atlet berprestasi sekaligus semakin memperkuat semangat kebersamaan dan sportivitas di tengah masyarakat.*)
