AGN Cup 2026 Resmi Digelar,Ketua KONI: Bisa Memotivasi Generasi Muda Untuk Bermain Tenis

sabakuningannews.com.KUNINGAN – Turnamen Tenis AGN Cup 2026 resmi digelar di Lapangan Tenis KORPRI Kabupaten Kuningan, Sabtu (6/6/2026). Ajang yang diikuti oleh 60 peserta ini mendapat apresiasi dari Ketua KONI Kabupaten Kuningan, Trias, yang menilai turnamen tersebut dapat menjadi momentum penting dalam pembinaan dan pengembangan olahraga tenis di daerah.
Dalam keterangannya, Trias menyampaikan bahwa AGN Cup berpotensi menjadi barometer lahirnya atlet-atlet tenis berbakat dari Kabupaten Kuningan, sekaligus memotivasi generasi muda untuk lebih aktif menekuni olahraga tenis.
“Menurut saya, turnamen ini bisa menjadi barometer untuk melahirkan dan memotivasi para petenis muda. Kalau saya lihat peserta yang tampil saat ini sebagian besar sudah berusia senior. Mudah-mudahan kegiatan seperti ini dapat melecut semangat generasi muda untuk mulai bermain tenis,” ujar Trias.
Ia berharap ke depan akan semakin banyak bibit atlet tenis yang muncul dan mampu mengharumkan nama Kabupaten Kuningan di berbagai ajang kompetisi.
“Ke depannya, bukan tidak mungkin dari turnamen seperti ini akan lahir atlet-atlet tenis Kabupaten Kuningan yang berprestasi dan mampu bersaing di tingkat yang lebih tinggi,” tambahnya.
Trias juga memberikan apresiasi khusus kepada Andi Gani (AGN) yang dinilai memiliki kepedulian besar terhadap perkembangan olahraga di Kabupaten Kuningan, khususnya cabang olahraga tenis.
“Saya sangat mengapresiasi Bang Andi Gani yang begitu mendukung olahraga di Kabupaten Kuningan. Beliau adalah putra daerah Kuningan yang memiliki kepedulian tinggi terhadap kemajuan olahraga. Hari ini beliau menggelar Turnamen AGN Cup dan Alhamdulillah dukungannya terhadap olahraga Kuningan sangat luar biasa,” katanya.
Turnamen AGN Cup diharapkan tidak hanya menjadi ajang kompetisi, tetapi juga menjadi sarana silaturahmi antarpetenis sekaligus mendorong peningkatan prestasi olahraga tenis di Kabupaten Kuningan.(RI)
